Responsive ONEPAGER: SpaceIL conference

About the company: SpaceIL is an Israeli nonprofit organization that was established for wishing to promote scientific and technological education in Israel.

About the interface: This project is an onepager interface for a fictional conference of both SpaceIL with a collaboration of ISA (Israel space agency).

Target Audience/personas: Mainly-

*space geeks,

*young and intrigued audience that are new to the space industry and science.

(Less targeted - *professional emploeeys of the space and raket industry).

The disadvantage (or advantage): There wasn't a precedent of this type of conference.

The goals:

  • Trying to fit each of the user's needs while keeping the design neat and organized with as little load as possible.

  • Improving current features from the market-research that fit the architecture (location, prize-lottery, slider, contact, registeration, facilities, Lecturers and etc) to be more enjoyable, useful, helpful and well updated to current trend (while matching the conference theme). Example: adding hours on the navigation-arrows at the mobile version of 'lecturers'.

  • Leveling-up the experience and entertaining the users by making a unique micro-copy and new designed features that will captivate the users and keep their 'fire' up, "as if they entered a game".. Example: on the comment section, registered users can find their name by typing on the advantage search (thanks to the database), but non-registered can comment by the nickname "UFO, UFO-01, UFO-02...etc" (instead of anonymous).

  • Engaging the users and making them more involved in the conference without the need to sign-in or pay (and maybe by doing that, make them register)- By creating a new feature, Example: "Top 5 questions comment section" - The top ranked question of each lecture will get to be answered live on stage.

* (As a person that goes to a lot of lectures and conferences, this feature can also improve the costumer experience by cutting the awkward and un-organized question part at the end, of "who want's to ask some question?". and some are embarrassed to ask or because it's unorganized, it may take some time from the next lecture.
